Conditioning Guideline Tool






Explanation:

 

Purpose

The conditioning guideline tool is designed to help you maximize the conditioning of your athletes without disrupting other aspects of performance.  If conditioning training is performed at too high of an intensity, the training not only inefficiently conditions the athlete but can also interfere with speed performance and development.  

How It Works

Simply enter in your best conditioning performance time, regardless of the drill.  For example, if you ran a 100m distance for conditioning, and finished it in 13 seconds, you should enter it in the box below and click calculate.  A result will appear below the box. When training for conditioning, you should achieve a time NO FASTER than this result.  Any faster time will interfere with speed development.
