Coaching Points

  • Lie face down on the bench with your hips positioned at the edge.
  • Allow one leg to hang off the bench, keeping the knee extended.
  • Focus on engaging the hip flexor muscles of the leg hanging off the bench.
  • Have a spotter or trainer press down on your hips.
  • Use your hands to resist the descent of the leg, providing resistance against the hip flexors.
  • Lower the hanging leg slowly and with control.
