- Push foot down and drive knee into the pad while maintaining a low heel: Instruct the athlete to focus on pushing their foot down into the ground or pad with force. Emphasize the importance of generating power from the foot and ankle by actively engaging the muscles. Instruct them to drive their knee forward and upward into the pad while maintaining a low heel position.
