Coaching Points 

  • Choose a wide grip on the lat pulldown machine for comfort and proper motion range.
  • Adjust the seat height for stability and keep feet firmly planted on the ground.
  • Sit upright with engaged core and chest up.
  • Pull the bar or handles down to your chest, engaging upper back muscles.
  • Lower the bar fully to your chest or slightly below.
  • Hold briefly and squeeze your back muscles, especially the lats.
  • Explosively pull the bar back up by driving your elbows back and down.
  • Maintain control and avoid jerking movements.
