- Choose a wide grip on the lat pulldown machine for comfort and proper motion range.
- Adjust the seat height for stability and keep feet firmly planted on the ground.
- Sit upright with engaged core and chest up.
- Pull the bar or handles down to your chest, engaging upper back muscles.
- Lower the bar fully to your chest or slightly below.
- Hold briefly and squeeze your back muscles, especially the lats.
- Explosively pull the bar back up by driving your elbows back and down.
- Maintain control and avoid jerking movements.
