- This exercise incorporates the Angular Shank Loading Model – Posterior Chain Series 3.0
- Step-off of the platform pulling yourself down to a staggered stance: Encourage them to visualize “pulling” themselves down by engaging their posterior chain muscles, including the hamstrings and glutes.
- As soon as you touch the ground, explode up violently: Instruct the athlete to quickly and forcefully push off the ground as soon as their feet make contact. Emphasize the explosive nature of the movement, encouraging them to generate as much power as possible. Teach them to drive through the balls of their feet and extend their hips, knees, and ankles simultaneously.
